Austin Area Wedding Season and planning

I am working with a lot of brides right now for 2008, especially spring and a few for the fall. I wanted to mention that Austin has so many fantastic venues to choose from, but we also have thousands of brides getting married each year. The busiest time of year for your vendors and venues is going to be in the spring and fall when the weather is great. Venues will fill up very quickly, normally at least a year before your wedding date. It's important to book your coordinator, venue and photographer as soon as possible. Your planner can assist you with the other vendors to book in order to create your dream event.

There are however some venues, that while they are beautiful and picturesque, they can be a nightmare with hidden fees, bad service and less than perfect conditions. It's really important that if at all possible you hire your coordinator first before any other vendor, so they can assist you in finding the perfect location and other vendors to service your event. Your planner will know who to avoid to save your future stress and headaches.

Your coordinator will also be able to help you find a venue that is the right size. Keep in mind that Austin tends to have a very high turnout regarding the guest count. We are little too popular of a destination. If your venue can only hold 100 guests be sure not to invite 150 hoping or assuming that only 75 will attend. This situation is next to impossible to fix if you have 125 RSVP that they are coming.
