Halloween weddings
In 2008 Halloween will fall on a Friday night and the next year on Saturday. How many brides do you think have weddings on Halloween? Will our November 1st brides for next year consider a Halloween Rehearsal? Since late September through November are peak times in Austin, I wonder if any one will. I had to share a wedding I did several years ago with one of my favorite couples ever! They came from different religious backgrounds and when their families would not agree on anything wedding related, they took matters into their own hands and decided to have a Halloween bash complete with black spider web table cloths, Adamms Family entrance song, pumpkin centerpieces and a Ninja for the ringbearer who walked out to "Everybody Was Kung-Fu Fighting". They had guidelines in their invitation encouraging guests to come in costume, but it had to be family friendly: nothing too scary, sexy or in bad taste. The couple provided great masks in case someone changed there mind and wanted to get in the spirit, as well as a fantastic face painter. By the end of the night, even the groom's mom had a bat painted on her cheek. It was a memorable party, to say the least. Here are a few memories from the festivities.
