1.  How long have you been working with brides or in the wedding
business? I have been working with brides for the past 5 years from a venue
standpoint. I have been working on events (corporate, galas, tradeshows, etc.)
for 10 years now.

2.  What drew you to your profession?
Weddings and galas were always my favorite events to work on so when I
moved back to Texas, I jumped at the opportunity to focus solely on this
clienteleat The Driskill.

3.  What is the best part about your job?
I love how every wedding is unique to the couple. It is an opportunity to share
and showcase their personalities into a special day with their friends and family.
I also enjoy the pressure of making sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
Things are bound to come up but how you react and resolve the situation keeps my
job very interesting.

4.  With all your experience, what bit advice would you like to
share?
There are a lot of emotions running on a wedding day and it is important to
remember not to take things directed at you personally. I love Mary Chapin
Carpenter’s song line "sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug”!

5.  What is your favorite wedding experience?
I was checking setup for a wedding one morning when the mother of the bride
walked in to the room. She saw me and burst into tears. Fearing the wedding had
been called off, I asked what was wrong. She gave me the biggest hug and told me
she was so happy her only daughter had found a terrific guy to marry and that I
had taken care of everything to make this a great day for her family. She
introduced me to all of her family during the reception as the girl she cried on
that morning who was completely responsible for their fantastic day. Hard to
not remember a client like that!
