Wedding Day Hair & Makeup

Every bride wants to look her most beautiful ever on her wedding day. The
majority of brides will be wearing a formal gown, but some will opt for a simpler
look when they say their wedding vows.

Whatever your style and preference for hair and makeup, be sure to have a trial
run to give yourself and your stylist time to find the right look for you. Will you
wear your hair up, down or something in between? Do you like a dramatic look
with makeup or a more natural look? Bring in photos of what you have seen on
line or in magazines so you have a starting point.

Now for some personal insight based on what happens on the wedding day on
a regular basis. Allow at least an hour more time than the stylist says you need.
The biggest reason is because things happen, delays cause stress and I can't
have a wedding without the bride. The bride should NEVER have her hair and
makeup done last. I can do preliminary portraits, family pictures, etc. without
your bridesmaid, but not without the bride.

Ask for a small sample of lipstick that you can put in your purse or bring a new
lipstick with you for touch ups throughout the day and evening.

Your Austin wedding planner should have several recommendations for you
in all wedding categories, including hair and makeup specialists. Not all will
come to your home or hotel, but that is my preference. If you need to go to
their studios be sure to allow for traffic or other delays.

Buffers of time = less stress and rush,
