Colors, colors, colors

The color of your wedding is a very personal and fun part of the planning
process. It's the opportunity to release your creativity and work with
colors that you love. Not to simplify it, but you should pick colors that
you want to be surrounded in. I really don't think there is a wrong color
for a wedding as long as it is used in the right proportion, area of decor
and flower choice.

I have brides worried about how their attendants will look in the color
they are selecting and other brides who didn't mind if their attendants
are going to look completely washed out in pale yellow dresses. Keep in
mind, that you can pick a great neutral color for the attendants and
bring in the core colors through your linens, flowers or lighting. I find
that if you are selecting a unique color palette for your wedding then
having your bridesmaids in black, brown or champagne makes everyone
a lot happier since they are more likely to wear the dress again. I loved
the movie "27 Dresses" and just how ridiculous we make our best
friends look.

So, have fun and talk to your planner about the endless options you
have. Start collecting photos and discuss how to incorporate them
into your wedding day. Pulling all the ideas together is one of my
favorite parts of my job.

Have fun, it's your day!
