Reduce Holiday and Wedding Stress
A bride may feel that she has an endless to do list. Here are a few ideas to alleviate
that anxious feeling and hopefully help you enjoy the holidays more.
Wedding planning:
1. Work with your planner on organizing the items that need to be done first and
what is months down the road. Don't borrow stress.
2. Don't try to do everything the first month you are engaged.
3. Ask questions of your planner so she can offer guidance in areas you may be
fretting about. She should have the experience to calm things down for you.
4. Work with quality vendors that your wedding planner has at least heard of.
You don't need the extra worry that this new, inexperienced vendor will
deliver what you paid them for.
5. Take time during the holidays to enjoy your family and put the wedding off
for a few weeks. The planning will still be there on January 2nd.
For the holidays, there seems to be an activity every day and evening. Here is
some help to get you through the remainder of the season:
that anxious feeling and hopefully help you enjoy the holidays more.

some help to get you through the remainder of the season:
1. Say No to Parties You Don't Want to Attend. There's no need to make
up an excuse. Keep your response short, sweet, and general.
2. Say No to Out-of-Control Gift-Giving. Draw names for a gift exchange,
make a contribution to a favorite charity, or buy one gift for a household
instead of individual presents.
3. Say No to Taking On a Big Holiday Celebration. If entertaining leaves
you frazzled, don't do it. Ask someone else to host or suggest meeting at a
restaurant. If you plan to host, ask everyone to bring a dish for the meal or
order pre-made dishes from a deli or grocery store.
I hope your wedding planning and holiday time will be a little less stressful,
Barbara
