Wedding Love
I know we have all heard from wedding planners who "love" weddings and
how it's their passion. I hesitated posting this, but with the passing of the
ever glamorous Elizabeth Taylor I kept thinking of her in her stunning wedding
gown(s). I truly love old Hollywood and the stars of yesteryear really knew how
to create elegance. I was one of those little girls who has loved weddings as
far back as I can remember. My grandmother had so many wedding albums
in her dining room credenza. Every time I visited her, I spent at least an hour
flipping through the pages admiring the black and white photos, amazed by
the colorization technique the photographer used to add muted color back
in for the silk bridal party gowns and the beautiful brides draped in lace. A
lot of these weddings were from the 1920s-1950s.
I was reflecting today about Elizabeth Taylor and it reminded me of several
of my favorite brides from the past. Each of these brides took style and ran
with it. Such a great legacy for today's brides.
