The Royal Wedding

The excitement that built for the Royal wedding was amazing, but in the world of
wedding planning today was like none other. It was truly everything we had hoped
for, if not more. So much romance and elegance from a bride who made the day
her own fairytale day, even with the tremendous responsibility of historic traditions
still being acknowledged and respected. I'm sure brides and wedding planners
can all agree that the stress of having 1900 wedding guests at your ceremony,
600 of your closest friends and family at the wedding brunch hosted by the Queen,
followed by 350 guests at your evening dinner dance is enough to rattle even the
calmest of nerves. Kate handled it all with such grace and style which I have a
feeling she will be commended for by both royals and commoners alike.

I couldn't help but watch the festivities with a huge smile on my face. Much like my
own couples that are getting married, I was so relieved it wasn't raining as predicted
all week, so Kate could make the grand entrance into Westminster Abbey to become
the bride of Prince William. I loved how Prince Harry was grinning and whispering to
his older brother as Kate approached on her father's arm. So much similarity with a
our beautiful weddings, but they did a fantastic job of not making the wedding of the
century stuffy or rigid. There were shy smiles between the bride and groom, happy
grins while saying their wedding vows, a ring that wouldn't go on over the bride's
swollen knuckle and whispers at the altar.

It truly was filled with love which we all knows makes the world go around. Congrats
to William and Kate for making your wedding day your own. Now onto the amazing
photos which will be shown for years to come.

The face of a future princess, so stunning. Love the tiara which was her something
borrowed from the Queen. Her something new were fabulous custom made diamond
oak leaf earrings from her parents. Her something old was the intricate Carrickmacross
lace stitching originating from the 1800s on her wedding gown. Her something blue
was simply blue thread in her gown which so many brides have chosen to do.

Kate definitely made a statement in her custom designed gown, but the compliment paid
to her sense of style by being compared to Princess Grace is so true. Pure elegance! Her
choice of flowers and size of her bouquet were also perfect. I loved the Lily of the Valley,
Sweet William, Myrtle and Hyacinth gathered to create a soft, delicate accent to her
fabulous gown. A word of caution for future brides, this is not an inexpensive bouquet.

The long awaited kiss witnessed by 500,000 people gathered in front of the balcony.
Not to mention the millions watching on line and by television. They treated us to a
second kiss after the first one was so quick many of us missed it. No pressure at all!

A final personal touch from this modern couple who exited in Prince Charles' Aston Martin
with the Ju5t Wed license plate and balloons. Definitely not something you have ever
seen at a royal wedding before.

Cheers and many blessings to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. You did it
your way and we enjoyed all the details immensely.
