Ice Sculptures at Weddings
choose from in every category related to weddings. Years ago an ice sculpture usually
meant a heart or swan, but things have changed so much for the past few years. I wanted
to introduce a great ice sculpture, Sean Leahy of Full Spectrum Ice Sculptures. See his
photos and bio below.
I have a BA in Studio Art from Webster University. This art background provides a strong base for my creativity and ability to design. After working for over 6 years alongside the owner of the premiere ice sculpting company in St. Louis, Ice Visions, as a sculptor and jack of all trades, I developed an itch for owning my own company.
Along the way I competed in several national competitions through the National Ice Carvers Association (NICA). I took first place in 2009 in Mount Holly, NJ beating out the reining three year champ. In addition to competing, I have earned two certifications through NICA (Professional Ice Sculptor http://www.nica.org/main.cfm?id=2C32878D-1372-5A65-3BF5686DCAEABA9B, and Ice Sculpting Educator http://www.nica.org/main.cfm?id=30F709AC-062A-8C96-B12E7653729ADE42) and am currently the only ice sculptor in Central Texas with these levels of nationally recognized certifications.
I chose Austin and its surrounding cities to start my business because of it's fast growth and lack of NICA Certified Professional sculptors. It is my goal to offer functional and innovative designs to my customers, helping to create a memorable interaction for them and their guests. My experience and attention to detail allows for a worry free experience with lasting memories. Full Spectrum Ice Sculptures designs, produces and displays the highest quality, custom ice sculptures for the client who appreciates consistently superior services.
