Barbara’s Brides Planning a Monday Wedding

August 6, 2014

I hear from all types of couples. Brides planning alone with little help, couples planning together, couples planning with their parents, couples planning from overseas and the list goes on and on.

When I hear from a bride that has most things completed, but is missing just a few key vendors and is concerned how it is all going to come together, I know we can step in and do just that. We have such fantastic vendors for the missing pieces and being the go to person for the timeline, organizing the vendors and keeping things on tasks is one of our specialties.

Our bride Casey had a beautiful vision, some of her vendors already hired, but having a professional planner on site just in case was what she needed. We did suggest several of her key vendors that she was missing and they definitely proved themselves as my preferred vendors on her wedding day. Her wedding was on a Monday and Austin had a crazy cold front come through on Sunday so what should have been a lovely spring wedding became downright cold outside wedding. Casey was such a trooper and we all worked to make her day just what she wanted. I was so grateful to have Royal Fig Catering on site and their stellar team. I also loved having Craig with Groove Labs handling all the ceremony and reception music perfectly. She thanked us so sweetly for being on her team and being proactive in keeping her vision true. Being an advocate for the bride is something we take very seriously.

The photos below are all my own and not professional, but I really wanted to share her day.

It was such a pleasure being Casey’s planner. If you feel you need assistance with your wedding planning whether a little bit or full service give us a call to arrange a complimentary consultation either by phone or in person.

Happy planning, Barbara

Gorgeous Gold Wedding at Austin Four Seasons

June 24, 2014

When Lauren contacted me she was very distraught that she couldn’t have her wedding she had dreamed of because another planner had told her it was impossible for less than $75,000. When I was recommended to her and we spoke on the phone, I told her where she could save and how to make her vision a reality. Please don’t let others discourage you and tell you what is impossible for your wedding day. Lauren had a great budget for what she was picturing and we were 100% successful in making her dream a reality. Lauren had a vision with gold and glitter touches. I love working at The Four Seasons, especially on the back lawn for the ceremony with the new easy access to the San Jacinto patio now that they added an opening in the wall along with a path. Such a great touch and simple access for our guests. We had wonderful vendors helping with all the details to create a perfect day for Lauren and Justin. Many thanks to Pam Hults with www.alaviephoto.com for capturing such a fantastic day.

Vendors thanks to: Four Seasons, Meredith 478-4500, Ceremony Music: Terra Vista Strings
