Love Is In the Air

It is that time of year when so many excited ladies will receive a sparkly token of love from their honey. I think it is the most romantic time to propose. You already have the built in excitement of the holidays, the weather is perfect for a cozy fire or a walk to look at the abundance of colorful lights. I hear from couples that have only been engaged since Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve. The excitement is hard to contain. Where do you begin? Wedding Plans for Winter Months

I plan weddings all year round in Austin, however our peak season is definitely the spring and fall months. Just as it is too hot in Austin for outside weddings, we do need a great plan for winter weddings as well since our weather can easily turn rainy and the temperatures are completely unpredictable with ranges between 70-20 degree. We always make sure we review what our plan B will be regarding tenting, decor and keeping all the guests comfortable. Here are a few of our past winter weddings at a variety of venues that had great backup plans or were perfect for an inside event with no weather worry at all. By the way, winter in Austin can start as early as late November and not end until mid-March.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing everyone a very happy day to give Thanks. We are preparing for our busiest time of year meeting newly engaged couples. It is also a time to remember one my favorite weddings on Thanksgiving weekend with the wonderful Mela and Nathan. The ceremony and reception were at the beautiful Villa del Lago overlooking Lake Travis. The weather turned chilly, but with all the dancing, fireplace lit and portable heaters it was a perfect night.

Austin Four Seasons Beautiful Fall Wedding

Cheers to the another beautiful fall wedding at The Austin Four Seasons Hotel.  The back lawn has been the perfect back drop to many of our fall weddings and I was so happy when Lucy contacted me to assist her as her “day of” wedding planner. We offer a unique service that provides phone and e-mail contact with us as soon as we are hired, not just day of or month of consultation service. Lucy decided to add hiring the florist and attending the tasting to her services with me in order to pull all her ideas together, but also utilize my past experience in catering to create the perfect menu for her guests to enjoy.  Her wedding style was elegant and classic with warm shades of coral, creams and gold.
