Cheers to the another beautiful fall wedding at The Austin Four Seasons Hotel. The back lawn has been the perfect back drop to many of our fall weddings and I was so happy when Lucy contacted me to assist her as her “day of” wedding planner. We offer a unique service that provides phone and e-mail contact with us as soon as we are hired, not just day of or month of consultation service. Lucy decided to add hiring the florist and attending the tasting to her services with me in order to pull all her ideas together, but also utilize my past experience in catering to create the perfect menu for her guests to enjoy. Her wedding style was elegant and classic with warm shades of coral, creams and gold.

I am anxiously awaiting the professional photos from Evelyn and Gabriel’s elegant hill country wedding. Their wedding was at Rancho Mirando near Wimberley, TX. We did all the wedding planning long distance from Chicago with only a few Austin visits. I took a few photos on my iPhone, so pardon the quality.
First off, Evelyn’s gown by was stunning and my photo does not do it justice. http://www.galialahav.com/
Evelyn wanted an elegant wedding and we definitely pulled that off. Here are just a few more photos representing Bouquets of Austin, Pink Tulip Invitations and Michelle’s Patisserie.
Stay tuned for the professional photo blog documenting the entire wedding day.
Happy planning, Barbara
I was interviewed by Austin Monthly regarding what couples need to do once they are engaged. So many couples are so excited after becoming engaged that they are not sure what the next steps should be. Do you have an Austin wedding planner yet? Do you have a great wedding vision, but aren’t sure how to bring it all together? I hope this will break it down for a smooth start to your wedding planning.

We’d love to assist you with your wedding planning needs.
Happy engagement, Barbara
It has been challenging re-building my blog since so much content was lost, but then I realized that I remember the content of wedding tips and of course my actual weddings. So although the posts are repeats to some overall they will be new for all newly engaged couples looking for a wedding planner.
For my first non-wedding post, I thought I would share how you find a wedding planner when you are not sure where to start in the planning process. I know it sounds bias, but the best place to begin your planning is with an Austin wedding planner. Whether you want just a little guidance with “day of” assistance or full service planning, Austin has over 75 wedding planners of all levels of experience, broad range of personalities and various vendor connections. Start by asking recently married friends who they used, ask your venues for their preferred vendor lists when you go in for site visits and research online wedding sites for actual bride reviews.
Here are over 60 of our reviews from “the knot” from our past brides, grooms and family members online http://www.theknot.com/Vendors/Barbaras-Brides/Profile/WCS/191/228304/profile?sid=nTl7xSZuIc6hGzt7g9l5Mw#reviews
We have also participated in venue bridal shows. One of our favorites was when The Driskill hosted a fabulous bridal event with their preferred vendors creating beautiful settings as teams in all the different rooms at The Driskill. We were very fortunate to have the Driskill Ballroom to decorate. Here are some photos from www.millphotostudio.com by Tyler Schmitt
Thank you to Stephanie with http://www.bouquetsofaustin.com for their beautiful work with me on this event. Love working at The Driskill and you will most likely see a great deal of Driskill posts coming up since I work with Driskill brides so often.
Happy planning,
Barbara
